There is an urgency here! All around we see a restless and disoriented society. This desperate situation compels us to assert that which is highest in us and most like God, spirit, because we know that listening to Jesus’ words and acting upon them, fortify us so that the storms of life cannot shake us. By following the twelve steps, we are not watering down the program that is based on sound ascetical and mystical principles. And without the subtle experience of the divine presence, the meeting is doomed to become a social gathering instead of a spiritual one.
