The Eucharist: Jesus’ Glorified Presence

In each Tabernacle in our Catholic Churches, Jesus, our risen and Glorified Lord, is enthroned. His Glorious Presence affects our local environment like a bright shining sun illuminating our world. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches us that, “…In the Eucharist the sacrifice of Christ becomes also the sacrifice of the members of his Body. The lives of the faithful, their praise, sufferings, prayer, and work, are united with those of Christ and with his total offering, acquire a new value….” (CCC 1368).
