This booklet follows detachment from spiritual harms. If we wish to be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ and become a saint, we need to learn how to use our five senses according to the will of God. He draws us into this night of self-denial to move us into action and to start us on this adventurous trip to God living deep within our soul. It is a dark night because we begin to walk by faith, dryness in prayer, not receiving consolations and good feelings. It is the beginning of contemplative prayer and walking through the narrow gate.
